MARCO de Comunicación together with Conforama has been recognised internationally at the Global Mercury Excellence Awards for the campaign #ActivaTuBienestar (#ActivateYourWellbeing). Aside from winning the Campaigns category outright, the collaboration between MARCO, the most awarded and best-valued PR agency, and Conforama, Europe’s second largest home furnishings retail chain, was honoured with a GRAND Award. Only 18 GRAND Awards are given on a yearly basis making it the most selective club of PR Excellence globally.
With the aim of promoting wellbeing and raising awareness about the importance of rest, physical exercise and mindfulness as the fundamental axes for a happy, healthy and full life, the campaign was developed and executed through a multi-channel strategy reaching a potential audience of 3.7 million users in Spain alone with nearly 19,000 interactions. The indoor and outdoor activation meanwhile mobilised more than 700 people.
The Mercury Excellence Awards form part of a group of prestigious awards globally, making the #ActivateYourWellbeing campaign’s recognition a standout achievement. Entries were received from 17 countries (Austria, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, People’s Republic of China, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, and the United States) and the 30 judges came from all over the world making the ceremony a truly global affair. With yet another award granted in this context for services ranging from social media strategy and implementation, creative concepts and event design, MARCO is able to strengthen its reputation on the international stage for delivering its now trademark 360º campaigns from any of its 10 offices across four continents worldwide.
The GRAND Award comes on top of MARCO winning eight other Mercury Awards for campaigns developed for Conforama, Friends of Glass (ANFEVI), Danone and Magnum, totalling two Gold, one Silver, two Bronze and three Honours. The consultancy has now accumulated more than 60 Mercury Awards since being founded 17 years ago.
