MARCO, the agency specialising in brand building and reputation management, continues to strengthen its internal structure in parallel with its expansion plans. Along with the vision of growth, which has as next steps the IPO at the end of the year and acquisitions in other markets, MARCO continues to bet on the growth and career of both junior and senior talent. In this way, the structure of the consultancy firm is adapted to its multi-market and multi-service model, appointing new heads for some of the key business units such as Events, with Ana Pérez as Head of Events; the Media Relations division with David Martín as Head of Media Relations and the Spanish market, with the promotion of Víctor Castell as Head of Spain.
Ana Pérez joined MARCO in November 2021 as Senior Consultant. To date, Ana has played a leading role in the logistical coordination and overall management of projects ranging from the creation of the creative concept, the development of the proposal and budget, to the production of different events in several sectors and scenarios. In the last year, campaigns such as “The Glass Monologue”, carried out together with ANFEVI / Friends of Glass, winner of a Silver Mercury Award and nominated for the next SABRE Awards; the Danone stand at the last Alimentaria fair; various events for institutional clients, including the Junta de Andalucía, or the different premieres carried out for Prime Video, stand out. Her growth in this short period of time has been parallel to the evolution of the agency, and of the events department itself, concluding in this new appointment as Head of Events.
As the new Head of Media Relations, David Martín will be in charge of coordinating the areas of media relations in the markets where MARCO operates. In addition, he will try to bring fluidity to MARCO’s relationship with the different media groups in 2023, which will be of great importance for the agency. David joined MARCO two years ago after having developed his career in Spain’s leading media companies, such as Atresmedia, Mediaset and Movistar. In addition, he has also been linked to the audiovisual content creation area of Real Madrid CF. and Euronews, as well as for communication agencies such as the Office Européen de Communication, in Lyon (France) and Madison MK. He has also developed different works for the Spanish Badminton Federation and the Association of Victims of Terrorism as well as with brands such as the National Indoor Football League, Panini and Munich.
Finally, Víctor Castell will assume the role of Head of Spain, representing one of MARCO’s main markets and business units. Victor, who started in MARCO’s Barcelona office as an intern, has developed his career in the Reputation area of the agency during the last 14 years. During this period he has worked in strategic management and corporate media relations on some of the main projects carried out by the consultancy firm, such as the launches of Netflix in Spain, DAZN and realme, among others. In the institutional area, he has been responsible in Spain for clients such as the Union for the Mediterranean, in addition to being in charge of the communication of all global content for COP22 from Marrakech. In alignment with this, he has been directly involved in the development of Technology, Logistics, Fintech teams and accounts as Corporate Director.
