Madrid, 25 January 2023 – MARCO, the agency specialised in brand building and reputation management, announces the strategic reinstatement of Gerard Muñoz as Senior Media Relations Consultant to reinforce the strategic management of media relations services for the consulting firm’s clients operating in the Spanish market.


Gerard Muñoz has developed a professional career marked by his initial experience in institutional communication, after eight years in the communications office of the Barcelona City Council. After his time in administration, he then began his consulting career at MARCO in 2010, where he led various accounts in the institutional, technology and lifestyle fields, such as the TECNIO technology centres in Catalonia, the presence of ACC10 at the Mobile World Congress, the launch for MyTaxi and various Unilever projects for their brands TRESemmé and AXE, among others. He also managed various strategic clients for MARCO such as BEKO electrical appliances, Grundig and Conforama. He was also responsible for implementing the spring-summer and autumn-winter communication campaigns for the Springfield brand with celebrities such as Mario Casas, Óscar Casas and Úrsula Corberó. During his most recent years in the MARCO Group, he worked as Editor-in-Chief of the then recently-acquired magazine Ejecutivos, in charge of the digitalisation project of the business publication.

In 2020, he specialised in Public Affairs after working for MAS Consulting as a Senior Consultant and specific training in the Postgraduate Degree in Public Affairs at the Comillas Pontifical University. In 2021, he joined the consulting firm KREAB, to manage various accounts in the pharmaceutical sector, including Astrazeneca and Merck, and to participate in various projects such as the launch of Tigoût in Spain and the opening of the first Experience Centre for the Permobil brand, specialised in the manufacturing and marketing of wheelchairs. His consulting experience continued at JIN Agency in the form of the opening of the Filipino fast food chain Jollibee in Madrid. In the latest stage in his career, Gerard Muñoz was the Head of Communications foor the Spanish biotech company Kimitec, specialised in innovation and biological products in agriculture and the food industry.

Now, three years later, he returns to MARCO to apply his in-depth knowledge of media and stakeholder management to the cross-sectional area of ​​media relations at the consulting firm where he began specialising in communications and public relations.

Gerard Muñoz has a degree in Journalism from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and a Master’s Degree in Marketing Management from the IDEC of the Pompeu Fabra University, as well as a Master’s Degree in Social Media from La Salle.
