MARCO de Comunicación, Spain’s best rated and most awarded PR agency, has been recognised with an IPRA Golden World Award at a gala held on 19 October in Barcelona. This award establishes a new milestone for the agency in the NGO category, and recognises the exceptional scope of the agency’s World Water Day campaign for the World Water Council, with more than 1,500 media appearances worldwide, reaching a total audience of more than 1 billion between media coverage and video visits on social networks. The IPRA Golden World Awards are part of an elite group of prestigious communications awards on the global stage.
Prior to the gala, Didier Lagae, CEO of MARCO de Comunicación, participated as keynote speaker at the IPRA Voices Conference, which took place at the Blanquerna Ramon Llull University in Barcelona. Lagae highlighted how to bring together emotions and eye-catching data to achieve the impact achieved by the World Water Day campaign under the slogan “Without water there is no life”.
The IPRA Golden World Award is added to the long list of awards obtained this year for the World Water Day campaign, carried out by MARCO de Comunicación for its client, the World Water Council. The campaign also won 4 Stevie Awards including the select Golden Stevie Award Campaign of the Year in Media Relations; 2 Mercury Excellence Awards with a Golden Award (Best Video-Public Awareness Campaign) and a Silver Award (Best Non-Profit/Public Affairs); 1 Dircom Ramón del Corral Award (Best External Campaign for Government Entities, Associations and NGOs); finalist in the Fundacom Awards (Best External Campaign for Government Entities, Associations and NGOs); and finalist in the Sabre Awards EMEA (Best Global Programme). These recognitions are in addition to the more than 30 awards collected by MARCO this year.
