MARCO, winner of the Southern Europe’s Best Consultancy of the Year category at the EMEA SABRE awards and industry leader in brand management, positioning, and reputation-building, has been chosen as a final contender for the Global Consumer PR Agency of the Year at the prestigious Global SABRE Awards. The virtual ceremony will take place as part of the PRovoke20 Global PR Summit on 21 October 2020, which will also rank the 40 best PR campaigns from around the world this year.
MARCO has been nominated as Global Consumer PR Agency of the Year, competing against DeVries Global, MSL, Mutant Communications and W. The nomination is the result of the agency’s excellent performance over the past year. MARCO was recently recognised as the fourth most important Spanish consulting firm in PRovoke’s ranking of the 250 most influential public relations agencies, whilst enjoying the largest growth of all Spanish consulting firms last year. The MARCO Group is also expanding internationally with a new office set to open in Warsaw and plans for further development in the Middle East. This comes after the recent opening of MARCO offices in Brazil, Mexico, Colombia and Peru.
The Global SABRE Awards drew more than 5,000 participants from over 60 countries in North America, Latin America, Africa, Southeast Asia, EMEA and Asia-Pacific. The international winners are therefore recognised globally in the communications and public relations sphere. The Global Agencies of the Year awards, split into seven categories (Consumer, Corporate/Financial, Creative, Digital, Healthcare, Public Affairs and Technology), are chosen after a lengthy process evaluating more than 500 candidates in virtual meetings with top public relations companies selected from around the world.
In the words of Didier Lagae, Founder and CEO of MARCO, “It is a wonderful achievement to be nominated for such a prestigious award, knowing this nomination is the result of the excellent work achieved over the past year and our ability to deliver first-class global communication campaigns. I would like to thank our clients for their support and trust, as well as the more than 150 consultants working across MARCO’s 10 offices, especially when faced with the challenges presented by 2020”.
